Both Bayern Munich and Tottenham are “convinced” of a Harry Kane move.
“Bayern Munich, who have offered £81.7 million (approximately $135.4 billion) for Kane, are preparing a substantial offer that Tottenham can accept,” Sky Sports reported on Feb. 2 (ET), adding that “both clubs remain ‘confident’ that a deal can be struck.
Bayern Munich CEO Jan Christian Dresden and technical director Marco Neppe flew to London, England, on Jan. 31 to hold talks with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy. They returned to Germany on the 1st after confirming Levy’s position.
Levy is demanding at least 100 million pounds (approximately 16.57 billion won) for Kane’s transfer. However, given Kane’s age (30) and one year left on his contract, it is likely that a middle ground will be found. Bayern Munich could also utilize the buy-back option that Levy wants.
Kane has also given Tottenham an ultimatum. It has been claimed that Kane has decided to stay at Tottenham if his future is not decided before the start of the 2023-2024 English Premier League (EPL) season. Tottenham play their first game of the season on Sept. 13 against Brentford.
However, Spurs are not in a position to celebrate. If Kane re-signs, it’s a different story, but if he stays for another year, he’ll leave the club next summer without a transfer fee. What’s more, he could agree a pre-contract with another club next January, when he has six months left on his contract.
Owner Joe Louis has also ordered a realistic approach. He has instructed Levy to sell Kane this summer if he does not re-sign. Kane’s contract with Tottenham ends next June.스포츠토토
Given the high transfer fee, Bayern Munich plan to offer him a five-year contract. If Kane completes his move, it will break the record of £70 million ($115 million) set by Luca Hernandez in 2019, the highest transfer fee in Munich history.
