The 104th National Sports Games will be held in Jeollanam-do, South Jeolla Province, on March 13.

Basketball will take place in Mokpo, Jeollanam-do, from April 14 to 19, with 51 teams competing in four categories (men’s and women’s general, men’s and women’s under-18). The tournament will be held at Mokpo Multipurpose Gymnasium and Mokpo High School as a tournament with no preliminary rounds for all categories.

The basketball portion of the Games begins at 10 a.m. on Thursday with the women’s general category match between Ulsan University and Gwangju University at the Mokpo Multipurpose Gymnasium, and the women’s under-18 category match between Dongju Girls’ High School and Hwabongo at the Mokpo High School Gymnasium at the same time. On the men’s side, the first games will be played at 11:40 a.m. on Thursday at Mokpo Multipurpose Gymnasium between Chung-Ang University (Gyeonggi) and Korea University (Seoul) in the general category, and at 2:30 p.m. at Mokpo High School Gymnasium between Kangwon Saedae University and Daejeon High School in the U18 category.

Korea University, which won the University League overall title for the second consecutive year, will be traveling to the National Games with nine players. Seniors Moon Jung-hyun and Park Mubin donned professional uniforms through the KBL domestic rookie draft, while junior Park Joon-hyung, sophomore Park Jung-hwan, and freshman Yoo Min-soo are unavailable due to injuries.

KU head coach Joo Hee-jeong said, “The fourth-year players are adjusting to life in a professional team. We will prepare well with nine players, centered on Yang Jun and Kim Tae-hoon (both third-year players),” said the team.

Yongsan Go, which won four titles this year, will challenge for a fifth title in 2023 at the National Games. Yongsan’s first match will be against Sangsan Electronics High School (Gyeongbuk) on the 15th, and if they win, they will meet Yeosu Hwayang High School (Jeonnam) in the quarterfinals.온라인카지노

Yongsan coach Lee Se-beom said, “I was worried about the players’ physical and mental fatigue in the fall tournament. I am grateful to the players for overcoming this. They needed a break to prepare for the National Games. We are preparing for the National Championships with recovery exercises to restore their physical condition.”

The team, which is participating in the KBL Gunsan Cup, will travel to Muan for the National Games immediately after the Cup. Squad leader Heo Hoon and Song Kyo-chang, who is recovering from an injury, are not expected to compete in the Cup, nor will they compete in the National Games.

Meanwhile, Yongsan High School, Suwon Women’s High School, Sangmu High School, and Sacheon City Government won the last edition of the 103rd National Games.
