Copenhagen forward Mohamed El-Yunusi snipes at Bruno Fernandes.

Manchester United suffered an upset 3-4 defeat against Copenhagen in the fourth leg of their UEFA Champions League Group A match of the 2023-24 season at Farken Stadium in Copenhagen, Denmark, at 5:00 a.m. ET on September 9. The result drops United to the bottom of the group with one win and three points. Copenhagen moved up to second in the group with one win, one draw, and two losses (four points).

United took an early lead. In the third minute, Marcus Rashford’s pass into space was collected by Theo Wan-Bissaka. He then sent a pass into the half-space that was collected by the onrushing Scott McTominay before sending in a cross. At the far post, Rasmus Hoeirun slotted it home for the lead.

It was a multi-goal game. In the 28th minute, Bruno went on the counterattack after losing possession in the midfield. His ball down the flank was picked up by Alejandro Garnacho and he sprinted away before firing a shot. The keeper made the save, but Hoi Lun slotted home the second ball to extend the lead.

But then came the bad news. In the 42nd minute, Rashford was sent off for a direct challenge on an opponent’s ankle. Outnumbered, the Red Devils quickly fell apart, conceding a goal to El-Yunusi shortly afterward and adding another in first-half stoppage time to make it 2-2 at the break.

United battled back, albeit with 10 men, and eventually had a chance to take the lead again. In the 24th minute of the second half, Harry Maguire was awarded a penalty kick (PK). Bruno stepped up to take the spot kick and finished cleanly to regain the lead. However, we conceded two goals in the last minute of the second half to go down 3-4. 무지개토토

A video was released after the game. In the video released by ‘united.no’, Bruno sits on the stairs in frustration. He covered his face with his hands and swallowed his disappointment.

“I think anyone who has watched a United game, anyone who has seen Bruno, knows that he is a player who always complains and whines to the referees,” said Copenhagen striker El-Yunusi.

“I tried to get him away from the referee. I said, ‘Forget it. ‘ I didn’t say more than that. I don’t like players who come forward and try to influence the referees,” he added.
