English Professional Football Championship (EFL-2nd Division) internationals Hwang Eui-jo (Norwich City) and Bae Jun-ho (Stoke City) took the field as side-by-side substitutes.
Norwich City lost 0-2 at home to Leicester City in the seventh round of the 2023-2024 EFL Championship at Carrow Road in Norwich, England, on Sept. 21. The loss dropped Norwich to fifth place in the league.
Hwang came on as a substitute in the 23rd minute with the team trailing 0-1. He replaced Liam Gibbs and was tasked with finding an equalizer.
He didn’t record an offensive point, but he was a threat. In the 31st minute, he pressed hard and forced the opposing goalkeeper to miss a pass. The ensuing play didn’t result in a goal, but it did hit the post.
Casey McAteer scored the game-winner in the 42nd minute, but Norwich and Hwang refused to give up. Norwich had a chance to find an equalizer in the dying minutes of the game, but their efforts were not on target and they lost 0-2.온라인바카라
Stoke City, where Bae Jun-ho plays, opened their league schedule with a trip to Huddersfield and drew 2-2. Stoke is in 19th place in the league with 2 wins, 1 draw and 4 losses.
Like Hwang, Bae Jun-ho came on as a second-half substitute. The teams exchanged goals, one in the first half and another midway through the second half, to keep the score at 2-2.
That’s when Stoke manager Alex Neil chose Bae to score the winning goal in the 28th minute. It was Bae’s third game since joining Stoke.
Unfortunately, Bae showed some light touches but was unable to register an offensive point. Stoke had to settle for a point away from home.
Norwich travel to Plymouth for round eight of the league on March 23, while Stoke host Hull City a day later.
