Tottenham struck first. In the third minute of the first half, Kuluczewski shook down the right flank before cutting back to Foro, who sent in a low, quick cross. Johnson made no mistake with his finish.

Chance after chance, Wolverhampton hit the ground running. In the 10th minute of the second half, a corner kick found Hwang Hee-chan in front of the goal, and he unleashed a low, quick right-footed shot that was just wide of the target.
