Desmond Bain continues his successful rehabilitation.
Bain burst onto the NBA scene when he was selected by Boston with the 30th overall pick in the 2020 draft. He was traded to Memphis shortly thereafter, where he continued to improve each year and became an integral part of the team.
After averaging 18.2 points in 2021-22, his sophomore season, Baines realized his potential and became a 20+ point scorer last season, averaging 21.5 points. Add to that a career NBA three-point percentage of 42.5%, and he’s the future of Memphis with a powerful weapon in the form of the three-point shot.
This offseason, Bain successfully underwent surgery on his right big toe, a condition that plagued him last season. Since then, he’s been rehabbing and slowly working his way back to full strength.
According to his own assessment of his condition, he’s currently doing all of his drills normally, except for 5-on-5 basketball. At this rate, he should be able to join training camp in late September.토토사이트
Baines signed a massive five-year, $207 million extension this offseason. He’s clearly the future of Memphis and should enter next season in much better shape.
