Jesse Lingard will train with Al Ittifaq for a month.

“Lingard has agreed to train with the club for a month,” Al Ittifaq announced on its website on Wednesday.

The British Express reported, “Lingard is taking his time in choosing his next destination. But he could be the next star to move to Saudi Arabia. He will initially train at Al Ittifaq for a month, with the possibility of joining the club later.”

Lingard is a former Manchester United youth product who made his professional debut in 2011. However, he didn’t get much playing time. However, in 2017-18, he appeared to make the leap to the first team, scoring eight goals and providing five assists in 33 Premier League (PL) games (20 starts, 13 substitute appearances). But each season, he was pushed aside by new arrivals.

As a result, he was sent out on loan to West Ham during the 2020-21 season. Things didn’t change much upon his return, and he opted to part ways with United ahead of last season. Instead of signing a new contract, Lingard joined Nottingham Forest as a free agent.

Lingard played 17 league games last season. However, he only played around 55 minutes per game and failed to record a single offensive point. Notably, Nottingham signed Lingard for a huge weekly wage, breaking the club’s weekly wage structure. However, his disappointing performance led to him being released from his contract this summer.바카라

As a free agent, he was not eligible for a transfer fee. However, no team came forward to take Lingard. West Ham United, where he had been on loan, were one of the favorites. He even trained there. However, no official announcement was made.

In the meantime, it has been reported that the player has joined Al Ittifaq in Saudi Arabia to train. Depending on how he performs in training, a transfer is possible. Al Ittifaq is managed by Steven Gerrard. This is the team that Jordan Henderson joined this summer. Gerrard and Henderson are both from Liverpool, the Reds’ arch-rivals.
